# Examples from the Turing

Paper section 3 and Supplementary 2.

## Section 3: RCM roles in practice

Section 3.1 describes projects at The Alan Turing Institute that had institutionally supported RCM roles, starting with *The Turing Way* in 2019. Supplementary 2 gives the full table of project examples.

## Section 3.2: A team-based approach

The Turing's RCM team set six shared goals:

1. Embed open, inclusive, and reproducible research practices.
2. Ensure a shared understanding of goals, roadmap, and processes.
3. Facilitate stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
4. Provide technical support and domain expertise.
5. Co-create, maintain, and communicate project resources.
6. Amplify and champion community learnings and achievements.

### Practical uses

- Adapt the six goals when drafting goals for a community-management team. The team's own [goals](../goals.md) page records how it applied them.
- Use section 3.2.1 as an example of how the team was led, supported, and housed within the Tools, Practices and Systems programme.
