(process_user_training)= # User training ## Purpose Turing TRE users must each have a user account. These accounts are used to log in to the Turing TRE. The purpose of this document is to define how and when such accounts should be created. ## Scope This procedure covers user account creation for all projects running in the Turing TRE. ## Responsibilities :::{table} :widths: auto :class: responsibilities | Role | Responsibility | | ---- | -------------- | | {ref}`role_project_team` | Provide evidence of training completion and agree to the terms of use | | {ref}`role_project_data_manager` | Complete user information form, determine training requirements and collect training certificates | | {ref}`role_trusted_research_data_manager` | Ensure that user information is correctly logged | ::: ## Procedure 1. **Complete user information form**: - **Responsible:** {ref}`role_project_data_manager` - Navigate to the **{menuselection}`user-information --> users.xlsx`** spreadsheet in Sharepoint - Fill out the form following `the guidance here `. 2. **Determine user access requirements**: - **Responsible:** {ref}`role_project_data_manager` - Work with the {ref}`role_project_data_manager` to determine which users will need to complete which training courses. - Guidance on what will be needed is {ref}`available here `. 3. **Complete user training**: - **Responsible:** {ref}`role_project_team` - Each user needs to provide evidence that they have completed all their required training. - For each required training course, follow the guidance below on how to obtain a completion certificate: - {ref}`training_gdpr` - {ref}`training_elfh` - {ref}`training_mrc` 4. **Agree to terms of use**: - **Responsible:** {ref}`role_project_team` - Each user needs to agree to the appropriate terms of use. - Ask your {ref}`role_project_data_manager` to send you the appropriate **Terms of Use** to DocuSign. 5. **Add certificates in Sharepoint**: - **Responsible:** {ref}`role_project_team` - Navigate to the **{menuselection}`user-information --> training-certificates`** spreadsheet in Sharepoint - Ensure that completion certificates and signed **Terms of Use** are uploaded for each user in the {ref}`role_project_team`. 6. **Update user information form**: - **Responsible:** {ref}`role_trusted_research_data_manager` - Update the **{menuselection}`user-information --> users.xlsx`** spreadsheet with the completion and expiry dates for each training course.
