# Teardown

At the end of a TRE project, the TRE infrastructure should be deleted from Azure.

## Prepare for TRE teardown

Ensure you are satisfied that the project is over and that users no longer require access to the TRE.

## TRE Project Termination Form

1. Go to **{menuselection}`project-termination`** in your project Sharepoint folder

2. Fill in the `Turing TRE Project Termination` document with the required details

3. Inform {ref}`the data managers <role_trusted_research_data_manager>` who will send the form to be signed.

4. Inform {ref}`the system administrators <role_trusted_research_sysadmin>` once the signed form has been added to the **{menuselection}`project-termination --> signed`** Sharepoint folder

## TRE teardown

Once {ref}`the system administrators <role_trusted_research_sysadmin>` receive confirmation that the environment should be torn down, they will go ahead and inform the {ref}`role_project_team` when this is done.
