Ways of working#
Note: This page records the team’s former working practices. It is not guidance for active projects or a current organisational policy.
The Open Research Community Management team, led by Malvika Sharan (2022–2024) and Emma Karoune (2025–2026), aimed to work as openly as possible, while respecting the restrictions needed for projects involving sensitive or confidential information. Team members documented work in public-facing resources where practical, shared knowledge across projects, and supported each other through regular collaboration.
The team’s historic commitments included:
participating in shared meetings, reflections, and knowledge exchange;
contributing to open and reproducible research practices, including through The Turing Way where appropriate;
making implicit knowledge explicit by documenting community-management work; and
creating public documentation for reusable practices without disclosing confidential project information.
For the complete historical records, see the ways-of-working document and the team-meeting guidance.
