Invite users to log in

This task is the responsibility of Project Team.

Users participating in a project that uses an SRE will have been added to that SRE by the Trusted Research Environments Service Area (TRESA).

The Project Team should advise the users to follow the Data Safe Haven User Guide set up their accounts.

As documented in the guide, most users short form username will take the form firstname.lastname, however some may differ from this convention (for example users with very long names). The Project Team can check with the Trusted Research Environments Service Area (TRESA) where this is the case.

When users follow the guide, they’ll need to know the <SRE ID>, the <SHM ID> and the resultant <SRE URL> for the SRE they will connect to, which will take the form:

https://<SRE ID>.<SHM ID>.turingsafehaven.ac.uk/

For the <SHM ID> of the SHM currently set up and used in production see Current Turing SHM. The <SRE ID> will be unique to the project SRE that has been set up by the Trusted Research Environments Service Area (TRESA) .
