eLfH Data Security Awareness Training – Level 1#

This is a guide on how to ensure you have completed the right eLfH module to access the Turing TRE.

  1. Go to the eLfH website

  2. If you already have an account, sign-in and skip to ‘Accessing the course’

  3. If you don’t already have an account, please follow the ‘Register for an account’ steps below

Register for an account#

  1. Click the ‘Register’ button on the homepage

  2. Enter your work email, confirm and click ‘Register’

  3. Fill in the details on the following page. Try to provide as much detail as possible. For place of work, if you are not employed by Turing please try to use your employer’s details, if they are not available please use Turing’s details.

  4. You should now have an email inviting you to create a new password and to verify your email. Follow instructions as given on the email - you should be given a username and the ability to choose a password

Accessing the course#

  1. Go to the eLfH homepage and sign in.

  2. Search for ‘data security awareness’ using the search bar.

  3. There are many courses called Data Security Awareness - Level 1. Find the course with the subheader: Data Security Awareness (NHSD) > Data Security Awareness - Level 1. If you have accessed it before, click ‘Play’. Otherwise click ‘Enrol’

  4. Complete the course

Sharing your certificate#

  1. When you have completed the course, go to the home page, and from the top navigation bar select ‘My activity’ -> ‘Certificates’

  2. Select ‘Data Security Awareness (NHSD)’. On the right hand side there will be a number of certificate icons - once you have completed the Level 1 course, the icon for it will turn gold. Click the icon to download your certificate.

  3. Email the certificate to your Project Team’s Project Manager (who sent you these instructions).
